Epilepsy Walk: A Success!

Saturday March 31st was the National Walk for Epilepsy on the Washington Mall.  DGR takes part in this every year, as Jerry and Debbie’s daughter has lived with epilepsy for over 11 years.  All the proceeds for the walk go to fight stigma, raise awareness and find a cure for epilepsy.

This year Team DGR raised $2,845! We couldn’t be more grateful to those who helped us far exceed our fundraising goal and who have contributed to the Epilepsy Foundation.

DGR Recognized Internationally

Not only does DGR handle international process service, but we also get recognized by international companies for our process service in New Jersey!  Former light heavyweight champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky has a judgment against him by M-1 Global, which was awarded in a Dutch court.  That ruling will now be upheld in the United States.

Vasilevsky has signed with Bellator Fighting Championships but due to a clause with M-1, he was to remain an M-1 fighter until 2013. Despite attempts to get in contact with Bellator, M-1 has been unsuccessful in working out an agreement and eventually had to resort to legal means.

Beware of Dog! 9 Tips Every Process Server Should Know

In previous articles we’ve talked about the threat of assault that exists to process servers and what should be a goal of every state to make this a felony.  But what about when the attack doesn’t come from an individual but from an animal?  A Florida process server was in the news this week after a couple set their dog on her while she was attempting to serve papers.

New York: Assaulting Process Server a Felony?

It seems as the though the Illinois Association of Professional Process Servers (ILAPPS) has gotten the ball rolling in regard to legislation making the assault of a process server a felony.  The New York State Professional Process Servers Association (NYSPPSA) has achieved an important step in accomplishing the same goal: the bill has been introduced to the State Senate by New York State Senator Catherine Young. So Where's the New Jersey Foreclosure Rush?
